WebView on Android does not open PDF files via the web in the context of navigating around a webpage and clicking on PDF links or setting the source url directly to a PDF on the web. Tested in simulator (Android 6.0) and Galaxy S8 (7.0)
The documentation says it should be capable of this.
Is the documentation wrong or is there something that needs enabling for this to work? Everything works as expected from chrome browser on device.
Documents – Because WebView is implemented using native components on each platform, WebView is capable of showing documents that are viewable on each platform. That means that PDF files work on iOS and Android, but not Windows Phone.
