I am having issues when I try to navigate to a new content page in Xamarin. Coming from a business WPF environment, I am using MVVM for this project and I am handling the page change even via MVVM messaging (not sure if this is the best way, just trying to learn) Whenever it executes the pushasync method the screen does not change. I can break the code after the method and see that the next content page has been added to the page collection at index 0, but the screen does not change in the app. What am I doing wrong here?
