Change color of slider depending on value

Hi all!

I have written a CustomSliderClass, which is using a CustomSliderRenderer to change its appearance.
Everything is working fine, but now I would like to change the color of my slider according to its value.
Could anyone point me into the right direction on how to accomplish this?
